New Business of the year 2014
The shortlists for 17 prizes up for grabs at the Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, were published following a rigorous selection process which culminated in interviews held over a fortnight period.
A total of 34 firms from the Preston area were among the finalists, along with 14 firms from South Ribble, 11 from Lancaster and eight from Chorley.
Francis Egan, chief executive of Cuadrilla Resources which was sponsoring the awards’ New Business of the Year category, announced shortlisted firms had their business premises visited from the judges. He said: “The decision of the BIBAs to send judges ‘on tour’ to visit businesses which made the finals was an example of the type of innovation which keeps it as Lancashire’s leading business awards.”
Paul of Choc Amor said “We were very pleased to be nominated for a BIBAs award and over the moon to be recognised by winning one of these sort after awards.”
More about the awards can be read here on the LEP website.
